Is Kate Middleton the next Lady Di? The princess follows in her mother-in-law's footsteps

This Thursday he visited the Tŷ Hafan medical center in Cardiff.

Since joining the British royal family, Kate Middleton has secured her place thanks to her “loyalty and commitment.” However, she is often compared to her mother-in-law, Lady Di, who also held the title of Princess of Wales.

After a turbulent 2024 marked by sadness and uncertainty due to a cancer diagnosis, in 2025 the Princess of Wales has returned to her royal duties, once again resuming her position within the royal family.

Recently, a new example of Kate has been revealed that sets her on the path to continue the legacy of the late Princess Diana, who became one of the most beloved figures in the history of the British royalty.

Kate Middleton and her new achievement that is being compared to Lady Di

On Thursday, January 30th, Kate Middleton traveled to Cardiff, Wales, to visit a pediatric hospital. This would be the second event she participated in this week, as on Monday she was accompanied by William at a ceremony held at Guildhall, the ceremonial and administrative palace of London, to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camps.

During his visit to Cardiff, he went to the Tŷ Hafan medical center, which is dedicated to providing care for children and young people with a reduced life expectancy. The goal is to make their daily lives "as fulfilling as possible."

They also offer support to parents to cope with the difficult process of loss and to create memories that will remain in their hearts.

This hospital was the place where Kate took on the role of godmother, similar to the role Diana played in several centers. Irfon Ress, who is the CEO of Tŷ Hafan, expressed his satisfaction with the appointment.

"We feel deeply honored that Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales has become a patron of Tŷ Hafan and it was an absolute pleasure to welcome Her Royal Highness to our hospice for the first time today. As our patron, Her Royal Highness will be an inspiration to children with life-limiting illnesses and their families, our dedicated staff and volunteers, and all those who generously support us," he expressed.
