What did Taylor Swift say about the fires in Los Angeles?

In her Instagram stories, the singer wrote: "The fires in California have devastated so many families, and it has been heartbreaking to see how these stories unfold. So much suffering, loss, and destruction. While many people are going through some of the toughest times of their lives, there are also many amazing organizations and groups coming together to help these communities rebuild."

The interpreter of 'Anti-Hero' concluded her statement by revealing that she has donated to various aid causes, and also invited her followers to do the same if they can. Swift specifically highlighted the California Community Foundation Fund, 211 LA, Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, or MusiCares, among others.

It is unknown how much Taylor -who has a net worth of over 1 billion dollars- has donated to the cause, but Direct Relief and Habitat for Humanity confirmed to Rolling Stone that the pop star "made a generous donation" and that the organization has "really had a significant impact" thanks to the help received.

The artist is just one of the many famous faces who have donated to the cause, including the Oscar-winning actor Leonardo DiCaprio, who revealed on Instagram that he "committed to donating a million dollars to the Rapid Response Program" amid the tragedy.

In addition, ‘Freaky Friday’ star Jamie Lee Curtis and her husband Christopher Guest donated the same amount to the victims, while Paris Hilton started a campaign with $100,000 after her own mansion was lost in the fire.
