The model Aleska Génesis has experienced moments of tension after being arrested on Monday, March 10th in Mexico City, following her elimination from Telemundo’s show ‘La Casa de los Famosos’. Now, new versions have emerged stating that the channel agreed for her not to be arrested until after she was removed from the show.
Aleska was released the next day, but she remains subject to precautionary measures and greatly affected, to the point that she claims she will not be able to give statements until further notice. In her Instagram story, she shared different versions of what happened, including one where the person who supposedly accused her, businessman Francisco Javier Rodríguez Borgio, the ex-partner of her sister Michell Roxana, showed up with police officers and prosecutors at Telemundo one day during the filming of ‘La Casa de los Famosos’.
The presence of the subject with the authorities caused quite a stir on the channel, where they were ready to take the model away. However, allegedly, the production team of the program and representatives of that media outlet negotiated and convinced them not to take her away immediately, but rather after her elimination from the program.
It is believed that the Venezuelan woman was arrested for the accusation of stealing luxury watches.
Accusations against Telemundo by Aleska Génesis
After being eliminated from ‘La Casa de los Famosos’, Telemundo posted on Instagram the last images of Aleska Génesis on the mentioned program.
She was crying, but after what happened, it is no longer known if her tears were because she was left out, or because she knew she would be arrested upon leaving.
In response to this post from the channel, Barbara Castellano, Aleska’s sister, spoke out against the television network, accusing it of profiting from the model’s arrest.
“This is how Aleska experienced the elimination from the channel, being left to fend for herself illegally and recorded for more material for their disgusting channel!!! The show is over for them! Stop using her image!,” Castellano said.
The comments were not lacking from users on the social network of the little camera. “They didn’t eliminate her... They handed her over. Now the furniture to workkkkk”, “the public humiliation they did to #aleskagenesis was unnecessary. Now it turns out that the arrest has more ratings than the show itself and Telemundo takes advantage to squeeze it out”, “very bad what you are doing with the #aleskagenesis case @aleskagenesis taking advantage of the situation to get audience”, are some messages.
However, others supported the channel: “Now it’s Telemundo’s fault? She knew there was a possibility of being arrested. She had a legal problem in Mexico and she knew it. Those people waited for Aleska’s elimination day to issue the order. It was logical that Aleska was going to leave. She had no support and was the most hated in the house. What happened to her is very regrettable and truly sad, but she shouldn’t have gone to the celebrity house with a legal process.”
Telemundo and Aleska Génesis speak out
Telemundo issued a brief statement clarifying that what happened to Aleska Génesis was due to personal matters: “Last night, after being eliminated from ‘La Casa de los Famosos All-Stars’, Aleska Génesis was detained for personal legal issues. The production is cooperating with local authorities to facilitate the process.”
The 33-year-old Venezuelan model also shared a message on her social media, thanking the people who supported her. She also emphasized that the truth will come to light in due time.
She indicated that with her arrest her rights were violated and that "at this moment, I am not in physical or emotional conditions to give statements. I need to take time to heal, to reconnect with myself and process everything that has happened“.
