Every year, Times Square in New York becomes the epicenter of the New Year’s Eve celebration, when thousands of people gather to say goodbye to the year that is ending and welcome the new one.
This 2025, the event promises to be as spectacular as ever, and one of the most anticipated moments will be the performance of the Jonas Brothers.
The iconic Times Square ball drop
The highlight of the celebration is undoubtedly when the famous crystal ball descends from the flagpole of One Times Square at 11:59 p.m., marking the beginning of the New Year. The 60 seconds leading up to it are a countdown that brings everyone together, who sing and celebrate the end of one cycle and the beginning of another.
The ball that illuminates the midnight of December 31, 2024 will be an impressive work: it will be composed of 2,688 Waterford Crystal triangles, screwed onto 672 LED light modules, totaling 32,256 lights. Each of these triangles represents hospitality and goodwill, central values of the New Year's Eve celebration in Times Square.
The programming of the event and show of the Jonas Brothers
The New Year's Eve in Times Square 2025 event starts at 6:00 p.m., with the lighting of the Times Square lights, officially marking the beginning of the countdown to the New Year. The party will continue until 12:15 a.m., when confetti will be launched from the rooftops of surrounding buildings, covering the streets with a ton of paper, creating a stunning visual spectacle.

- 6:00 p. m.: Rita Ora will be in charge of opening the show with a selection of her greatest hits on the stage of the Planet Fitness Center.
- 7:40 p. m.: Jonas Brothers will perform to entertain the audience with their most popular songs, one of the most anticipated performances of the night!
- 8:03 p.m.: Singer Mark Ambor will perform his hits such as "Belong Together", "Good to Be", and "Our Way" at Broadway Plaza, between 45th and 46th streets.
During the night, other renowned artists will also be at the Planet Fitness Center, making this celebration an event full of musical diversity.
