After announcing the end of chemotherapy for cancer, Princess Kate Middleton has been gradually getting involved in her royal commitments. One of the most important ones she has taken on for the end of this year is her traditional Christmas carol concert, so Kensington Palace has already announced the special theme of the event.
“The service this year provides a moment to reflect on the importance of love and empathy, and how much we need each other, especially in the most difficult moments of our lives... The service will shine a light on individuals from across the UK who have shown love, kindness, and empathy towards others in their communities,” the Palace said in a statement, as reported by The Mirror.
The relevance of love and empathy stands out in a tough year for Princess Kate Middleton and the Royal Family in general, as both she and King Charles III were diagnosed with cancer. It has been a time in which both have received countless demonstrations of affection and support from people in the United Kingdom and the international community, a poignant moment about the comforting power of love, understanding, and mutual aid.
The Palace added that "this year, His Royal Highness wanted to celebrate the many people who support the needy, individuals who have inspired, advised, comforted, and above all demonstrated that love is the greatest gift we can receive... This theme is inspired by the Christmas story that encourages us to consider the experiences of others and the important human need to give and receive empathy."
Kate Middleton and her recovery
Everything seems to indicate that Princess Kate Middleton, 42, is doing very well after completing chemotherapy. She herself said that the end of these cycles does not mean that the treatment is over, as she must continue to be medically monitored to ensure that the cancer has not returned.
The aforementioned media outlet indicated that the recordings of the concert will start on December 6th and will be broadcasted on Christmas Eve.
Last year was the first time that Prince Louis joined them at the concert. This is the first of the royal events in which he has been involved as part of the royalty.
