They are selling Princess Diana’s former family mansion, located in central London

The sale of the old mansion that belonged to Diana, Princess of Wales, was announced.

Recently it has been confirmed that a townhouse in the Mayfair district of London, which belonged to the father and stepmother of Princess Diana, was sold in a record time of just three days. The property was put on the market in June of this year for $14.2 million dollars.

Here we show you how the property looks, and the details about the sale of said property.

The sale of Lady Di's family mansion

Robert Dawson, the real estate agent in charge of the transaction, stated: “This is the first time that the Farm Street house has been on the market in 22 years, and it actually sold in its first week.”

Although the buyer has not been revealed yet, the sale was closed at the same price of $14.2 million dollars (£10.95 million pounds sterling).

The history of this iconic house resonates both for its family ties and its privileged location in the heart of London. Originally, the townhouse was purchased in 1990 by John Spencer, Diana's father, as a gift for his stepmother, Raine Spencer.

After John's death, the residence became the property of Raine, who lived in it until her death.

At the beginning of the 21st century, Alan and Mary Hobart purchased the property and have been its last owners until this recent sale. Located in one of the most exclusive areas of London, the mansion spans 4,639 square feet spread over five floors, and includes seven bathrooms, various living areas, and modern amenities.

The speed of the sale has raised questions about whether the interest was driven by the property's connection to Lady Di or by its impressive architectural features.

The legacy of Lady Di

Lady Di, or Diana, Princess of Wales, was a very well-known and beloved public figure. She was born on July 1, 1961, and became the wife of Prince Charles of England in 1981. Diana was known for her humanitarian work, especially in areas such as the fight against AIDS and the campaign to ban landmines.

Her life received a great deal of media attention, and her style and charisma made her a fashion icon. However, her marriage to Carlos was tumultuous, and they separated in 1992, divorcing in 1996.
