The Puerto Rican artist is confirmed as a musical guest, just over a year after his participation in October 2023, when he was both host and musical guest on the episode. At that time, Bad Bunny took part in several comedy sketches and performed on the show’s stage.

The episode will be special, as it is the end of the 50th season of SNL. The Puerto Rican was also part of the concert celebrating the 50 seasons of the show.

This year, Bad Bunny released the album “Debí tirar más fotos”, which has been successful worldwide and will attract thousands of fans to the residency he will hold on the island next summer. The residency, with around 30 shows, will take place between the months of July and September.

What is a musical residency?

A concert residency or musical residency is a series of performances, similar to a tour, but held only at the same venue.

To establish a musical residency, it is expected that the artist performs a minimum of ten shows at the coliseum, stadium, arena, or selected venue. Therefore, the new arrival of Bad Bunny at the Coliseum represents his first residency and the first to take place on the popular stage.

Concert residencies have been a constant element in Las Vegas for decades. The series of concerts were initiated by the legendary pianist Liberace in the 1940s and by Frank Sinatra with the so-called Rat Pack in the 1950s.
