WEST PALM BEACH, Florida, USA (AP) — Donald Trump’s doctor claims that the oldest man to be elected President of the United States is “completely fit” to be commander in chief, as the White House released the results of his physical examination conducted on Friday.
His doctor, Navy Captain Sean Barbabella, mentioned Trump’s “active lifestyle” and stated that he “continues to significantly contribute” to the well-being of the Republican president. Trump will turn 79 on June 14th.
How much does Donald Trump weigh?
The results showed that Trump has lost 20 pounds since his last physical examination as president in 2020. He weighed 244 pounds back then and has now dropped to 224 pounds.
The medical report stated that Trump underwent cataract surgery. It is a common procedure among older people to help clarify vision.
Barbabella said that Trump’s days include participating in multiple meetings, public appearances, media availability, and “frequent victories in golf events.” Trump is an avid golfer and mentioned that he recently won tournaments played at clubs he owns in Florida.
Trump’s cholesterol levels have improved over time, thanks to the medications rosuvastatin and ezetimibe.
In his physical exam in January 2018, his total cholesterol was 223. By early 2019, the reading was 196 and it dropped to 167 in 2020. Today it is 140. Ideally, total cholesterol should be below 200.
Her blood pressure was 128 over 74. This is considered high, and people in that situation are prone to developing hypertension unless steps are taken to control the condition.
Trump has a resting heart rate of 62 beats per minute, in line with previous tests. A normal resting heart rate for adults ranges from 60 to 100 beats per minute, and typically, a lower rate implies better cardiovascular health.
Trump also takes aspirin, which can reduce the risk of heart attack and stroke.
