The bodies of Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa have not been claimed at the morgue after a month since they were found dead on February 26 in their home in Santa Fe, New Mexico, United States.
According to TMZ, The New York Post reported that according to the coroner’s reports, the relatives have not claimed the bodies of the couple, so they are still on the list of unclaimed bodies.
The list is updated weekly, but it is not known when they will remove the names of the actor and the pianist. However, for some, it is not unusual that after a month, they have still not been claimed, as there are relatives who take approximately this amount of time for funeral arrangements.
The actor had already expressed to the media about his bad relationship with his three children, Christopher, 65 years old; Elizabeth, 63; and Leslie, 58. The artist acknowledged that due to his work, he spent a lot of time away from home, and that could have influenced his relationship with his children. However, they later reconciled.

Recently, it emerged that Gene Hackman’s wife had told a friend that an unknown man had followed them on several occasions.
“She mentioned to me that there was a man who had parked outside her door and had followed them... It happened on two separate occasions. One time was when they went to White Rock, they went and had lunch there, and the guy followed them all the way out of her gated community, followed them to White Rock,” said the pianist’s friend.
According to the account, she told him that the stranger followed them to their house, asked for Hackman’s autograph, and offered them bottles of wine as a gift, but the couple always refused everything.
