Shakira cried after singing 'Antología' in Mexico

The singer was moved during the concert and couldn't hold back the tears in front of her audience.

Shakira experienced a touching moment with her audience during her third concert as part of the ‘Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran Tour’ in Mexico City. The artist was moved to tears after performing her iconic song ‘Antología’.

As seen in the videos circulating on social media about this exciting moment, after finishing performing the song, the audience erupted in joy, applauding her name: “Shakira! Shakira! Shakira!” the crowd chanted.

The thousands of attendees at the Seguros GNP Stadium couldn’t stop shouting her name, to the point that Shakira couldn’t hold back the urge to cry, being infected with the emotion of her fans, who gave her that special moment.

Shakira smiled and cried at the same time, putting her hands on her chest, walking back and forth on the stage, and at times lowering her head, covering her face. Undoubtedly, it was a unique moment between her and her audience.

The Colombian singer-songwriter dried her tears and very moved, said: “Thank you Mexico”, which sparked even more applause and ovations from the audience. She was able to compose herself and continue with her concert.

Shakira, concert delays and her health

Shakira has been heavily criticized for cancelling her concerts in several countries. Her first concert in Mexico started late, and she later explained that it was not her fault or her team’s, but rather the logistics team who failed to inform her of the start time. The artist assured that this will not happen again, as for future shows, she will personally ensure the start time is on track.

During her concerts in Mexico, TV host Pati Chapoy said on her show ‘Ventaneando’ that the singer sought recommendations from a pulmonologist, which has raised concerns about her health. However, it is unknown whether the singer was seeking the specialist for herself or for someone else. So far, she has not said anything about any illness.
