In the midst of the hustle and bustle of Hollywood, Millie Bobby Brown has found refuge in the calm of a farm in Georgia, away from the lights of fame. At 21 years old, the young British actress lives on this property with her husband Jake Bongiovi and 62 animals. In a recent interview with Call Her Daddy, Brown shared how this place has transformed her life, offering a sense of security and stability that she never had in her childhood.

The space, acquired by her parents thanks to the earnings from Stranger Things, represents much more than a house. It is the home where, for the first time, she was able to experience what it’s like to have something of her own. “I remember having something of my own for the first time, living without fear of rent,” she said. Despite her success in Hollywood, Millie has chosen to live differently from most stars, opting not to reside in Los Angeles and keeping her presence on social media to a minimum.

A rural life outside the Hollywood spotlight

Millie Bobby Brown describes herself as “traditional but unconventional,” a philosophy that reflects her life on the farm. In an interview with Vanity Fair, she explained that living in the countryside is not just an aesthetic matter, but something physical and authentic. “If you’re not shoveling horse manure or washing a cow with your own hands, then that life is not for you,” she stated, making her direct approach to farm work clear.

From her farm, Brown has also founded the organization Joey’s Friends, which rescues dogs from shelters where they were going to be euthanized. Currently, 23 of the 62 animals living with her come from her shelter, while the rest include horses, cows, a blind donkey, and other dogs. In her free time, Brown has even taken veterinary classes to better care for them. “Mama, a bulldog, has her own treadmill and a TV that plays a video of burning logs,” she said with a laugh in an interview with Us Magazine.

A controlled career and personal decisions at their own pace

Despite her global success as Eleven in Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown has managed to maintain control of her life and career. At 15 years old, she founded her own beauty brand, Florence by Mills, and published her first novel at 19. Additionally, Brown proposed bringing the Enola Holmes books to the screen, based on a series she used to read with her sister.

In personal matters, Brown and her husband Jake Bongiovi, son of musician Jon Bon Jovi, got married in May 2024. In Us Magazine, the actress shared that they thoroughly discussed their values and aspirations before getting engaged, making sure their decision was the right one. “We talked about our political views, the type of family we want to build, the home we want to live in... it always felt right with him,” she explained.

Far from Hollywood expectations, Brown leads a more peaceful life.

Reserved and calm. “I don’t have many friends, because of who I am,” she told Vanity Fair. “I didn’t go to school, and I’m not the best at socializing.” With this confession, she made it clear that the farm is not only her home, but a personal refuge where she can organize the world in her own way, away from the noise and pressure of show business.
