Without a doubt, this represents a major setback, not only for Jonathan Majors, but also for his colleagues in the film industry who have supported his comeback.
What does Jonathan Majors say in the audio recordings about his ex-girlfriend?
According to the audio recordings published by Rolling Stone, Jonathan Majors admits to pushing his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, against a car and then starting to strangle her.
“I am ashamed to have become aggressive with a woman. I have never assaulted a woman; I have only been that way with you,” says the actor’s voice in the 28-second clip, which, according to the media, was recorded days after his fight with his ex-partner.
“You strangled me and pushed me against the car,” replied Grace Jabbari, 32. Jonathan Majors then responds, “Yes, all those things that are considered ‘aggression’, yes. That has never happened to me before.”
When asked if he attacked her for saying something sarcastic, the actor said, “Well, clearly it was more than that.” Grace Jabbari commented, “Something inside of you,” which led Jonathan Majors to express, “Yes, towards you.”
In April 2024, the judge handling the case ordered the actor to attend anger management therapy for a year. However, in November, his ex-girlfriend withdrew the lawsuit as they reached an out-of-court settlement.
Whoopi Goldberg, Michael B. Jordan, and Matthew McConaughey have been the artists who have expressed their support for Jonathan Majors, who has not made any statements about the audio.
