The promotional tour for the live-action Snow White has started with controversies behind the scenes. Amid a growing wave of rumors pointing to a ‘break’ between the main actresses, Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, the latter attended Disneyland alone to promote the remake of the iconic Disney classic.
The “Wonder Woman” star was in a very good mood during her solo appearance at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, this past Sunday, the 16th, as they prepare for the official premiere of the movie on March 21st.
The 39-year-old actress, who plays the Evil Queen in the film, wore a radiant smile as she posed alongside Mickey and Minnie Mouse and a group of classic Disney villains, as well as taking photos with several little girls dressed as the iconic villain.
Do Gal Gadot and her co-star, Rachel Zegler, get along?
Since the casting of the movie was announced over a year ago, speculations began to circulate about how well Gadot and Zegler would get along, considering the stances both have publicly shown on the issue of the conflict in Gaza.
Gadot, of Israeli origin and a former member of the Israel Defense Forces, has been vocal in her support for the State of Israel, while the star of “West Side Story” has openly expressed her support for the Free Palestine movement.
Even after celebrating the release of the “Snow White” trailer through X last August, Zegler commented: “And always remember, Free Palestine.” This message sparked rumors that the production of the Disney film was going to be somewhat troubled, and now that promotion has arrived, the rumors have increased.
Last Friday, several sources told People magazine that the two actresses “have nothing in common”, pointing out that they have a “huge age difference” and “very different political opinions”.
“A Gal is bothered by drama outside of the movie,” a source told the media. “She enjoyed filming. She got along well with Rachel, but they are not friends. They worked together and that’s it,” they added.
