After the police intervened to remove the host Wendy Williams from the assisted living center in New York where she was staying, she claimed to have “successfully” passed the psychological tests they conducted on her outside of this facility.
Authorities intervened at the site this Monday to respond to the distress call made by the renowned 60-year-old presenter, who left a note that she dropped from her room on the fifth floor of this place, where, according to reports, she was confined.
The police took Williams to another location where she underwent medical evaluations, as she has reported not trusting the exams done at the facility.
As a reminder, the host has been under a guardianship since May 2022, with Sabrina Morrissey appointed as her guardian, responsible for her finances and health.
“I passed with flying colors,” said Wendy Williams about her psychological evaluation. These words were spoken during the morning of this Tuesday in an interview with presenter Rosanna Scotto, as reported by Page Six.
The actress and writer also reiterated that she does not trust the medical exams at the center where she was, so she wanted them to be done elsewhere.
She indicated that all her money is managed by her guardian and that she is willing to have another person “take care of” her finances.
Along with a friend, she was willing to present the results of the new tests to the judge. “I would be very disappointed and very worried if the judge has a problem with those tests,” said her friend.
Wendy Williams and the alarms about her confinement
Last February, TMZ published the documentary ‘TMZ Presents: Saving Wendy’, in which Wendy Williams spoke on the phone with Harvey Levin.
According to Levin, she was confined to the fifth floor of an assisted living facility in New York, where she couldn’t leave without permission from the staff. She mentioned that visits were very restricted, she couldn’t receive phone calls, and didn’t have access to the internet. She ate in her room because she found it depressing to go out and see so many people up to 90 years old, very ill.
The confinement and guardianship of the driver were maintained despite claims from people close to her that her mental state had improved after achieving sobriety. They always requested a medical reevaluation.
