The international tour ‘Las mujeres ya no lloran’ by Shakira has been one of the most anticipated since last year. As soon as the singer made the announcement, her fans rushed to buy tickets in the different countries. The tickets sold out just hours after sales started, but the tour did not get off to a good start, as there were several cancellations at the beginning, which bordered on disappointment.

Thousands of fans were left wanting to see Shakira in Lima, Peru; Santiago, Chile; and Medellin, Colombia. The worst part is that there is no date for when the concerts may take place.

On the Colombian’s social media, the fans who have been able to see her at the shows of her tour were amazed. In the opinion of many, the experience is “unforgettable”, but for those who were left ‘dressed like a village bride’, the “unforgettable” part has been the disappointment.
However, at all times, the singer-songwriter has expressed her regret to her followers and has guaranteed that she will fulfill her promises to them.
Shakira and the Problems of Her Tour
El Tiempo made a recount of each of the problems that have marked Shakira’s tour. They are as follows:
-Hospitalization in Peru: The concert in Lima was scheduled for February 16, but Shakira had to be hospitalized a day before. “I regret to inform you that last night I had to go to the emergency room for an abdominal condition and I am currently hospitalized… The doctors who are treating me have informed me that I am not in a condition to present a concert tonight,” informed the artist herself. At least this concert has already been rescheduled for November 15, with an additional date on the 16th of this month.
-The roof in Medellín: The second canceled concert was on February 23 in Medellín. It was postponed to the next day, but it could not be held then either. The reason: the roof of the venue where the event was to take place sustained damage. “We understand that this decision may be upsetting to the public who were eagerly awaiting the show, but the most important thing is the safety of everyone,” notified Páramo, the company in charge of the show. It is still unknown when it will take place.
-The Ground in Chile: on March 2 and 3, two more concerts in Chile were suspended. Again, the reason was due to infrastructure problems at the venue, which did not guarantee the safety of the attendees. Shakira explained that the ground was not stable. “There are two things I would never compromise: the safety of my team and that of my fans, and I would never offer you a show below the quality standards you deserve,” said the singer. It is not known when they will be rescheduled.
