The saga of 'James Bond‘, one of the most prolific in the history of cinema, has faced a new development, though it doesn’t seem entirely positive. The upcoming movie has lost its producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, who have left the franchise after failing to reach an agreement with Amazon MGM Studios regarding the creative future of agent 007. However, Jeff Bezos has not rested on his laurels to continue supporting the project’s evolution.

Upon the news that hit the followers of the famous franchise like a bucket of cold water, the most recent James Bond, Daniel Craig, who was active between ‘Casino Royale’ in 2006 and the magnificent conclusion to his arc in ‘No Time to Die’, released in 2021, has reacted. In a statement to Variety, the actor did not hesitate to express his words of affection towards his former producers.

“My respect, admiration and affection for Barbara and Michael remain constant and unchanged. I wish Michael a long, relaxing (and well-deserved) retirement, and as for the projects that Barbara undertakes, I know they will be spectacular and I hope to be a part of them,” said Craig.
Jeff Bezos began making his casting call for James Bond
The tech mogul Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, took the opportunity to make his own casting call for the movie. On his account on the social network run by Elon Musk, X, Bezos posted a tweet inviting his followers to weigh in: “Who would you choose as the next Bond?”.
As expected, the question has been answered by countless users with photographs and gifs of Henry Cavill, clamoring for the former Superman to be the next actor with double zero status.
