A Promising Career Interrupted

Kim Sae-ron began her acting career at the age of 9 and quickly became known for her roles in films such as “The Man from Nowhere” (2010) and “The Neighbor” (2012). Despite her success, her career was affected in May 2022 when she was involved in a car accident after consuming alcohol, crashing her vehicle into an electrical transformer. This incident not only cost her a fine of 20 million won (approximately 13,850 dollars) but also led her to step away from the public sphere due to the controversy.

The accident had a significant impact on her professional life, forcing her to resign from her role in the series “Trolley” and to withdraw from public life for a while. Despite her attempt to return last year, the actress faced health issues that led her to retire again.
