Anne Hathaway has kept her children completely private
The star of “The Princess Diaries,” aged 42, was captured with a big smile while holding her little one on her lap. Jack, excited, jumped from his mother's arms as she waved to the crowd, generating viral reactions on social media.
Hathaway, who is also the mother of Jonathan, 8 years old, wore a green sweater in honor of the Pennsylvania team.
Little Jack wore a gray Eagles t-shirt while they watched the team defeat the Kansas City Chiefs. The mother and son outing was a rare occasion, as the actress has kept her children out of the public eye for years.
Hathaway and Shulman, both 43, welcomed Jack in 2019, three years after Jonathan was born. Since then, the actress has spoken openly about her struggles to conceive. In 2019, while pregnant with Jack, she revealed on Instagram that her path to motherhood had not been "a straight line."
That same year, in an interview with the Associated Press, the Oscar winner sent a message of support to women facing fertility issues: “They have a sister in me.”
She also spoke about the feelings of isolation and doubt she experienced during the process. In March 2024, Hathaway shared with Vanity Fair that she suffered a miscarriage in 2015 while performing “Grounded” Off-Broadway, a play in which she gave birth on stage every night. This painful episode led her to open up to her friends about her loss.
“It was too much to keep to myself when I was on stage pretending everything was fine,” Hathaway recalled. “I had to be honest, there was no other choice.” The unexpected appearance of Jack at the Super Bowl 2025 has moved the actress’s followers, who have praised her authenticity and strength throughout the years.
