However, according to sources from TMZ, the version approved by Fox did not include the controversial T-shirt in the original announcement.
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) condemned the garment and the recent statements by the rapper, highlighting that the swastika was adopted by Adolf Hitler as an emblem of Nazism and remains a symbol of fear and hate.
On its X account, the organization wrote: “As if we needed any more proof of Kanye’s anti-Semitism, he chose to sell a t-shirt with a swastika on it.” Additionally, the ADL criticized West’s decision to leverage the reach of an event like the Super Bowl to spread his message.
"There is no excuse for this behavior. Worse yet, Kanye promoted his website at the Super Bowl, amplifying his message beyond his already massive social media audience," the organization reported.
West, who legally changed his name to Ye, deleted his X account after it was revealed that he had been planning this T-shirt for several years. “I’ve wanted to make this shirt for a long time. It’s my best piece of performance art so far,” he wrote in a tweet retrieved by the Daily Record.
Days before the announcement, Ye had posted comments such as “I love Hitler” and “I’m a Nazi”,” stating that he would never apologize for his remarks about the Jewish community. His statements have generated outrage and rejection worldwide.
Apart from his antisemitic attacks, West also made misogynistic comments about his wife, Bianca Censori, writing on X that, for being married to a billionaire-
This happened after the 30-year-old architect appeared at the Grammys in a completely transparent dress. West had already issued an apology to the Jewish community in December 2023 for similar statements, but his recent actions demonstrate that his attitude has not changed.
Meanwhile, the criticism and outrage continue to grow around the controversial artist.
