However, beyond his stunning presentation and his special guests, such as SZA, Serena Williams, and Samuel L. Jackson, an unexpected detail captured the audience’s attention: his flared jeans.

Kendrick Lamar caused a sensation with the jeans from the brand Celine

The rapper from “HUMBLE” opted for a bold look that included a custom varsity jacket by British designer Martine Rose with the name “Gloria” on the front, referencing a song from his recent album GNX.

He completed his outfit with a black T-shirt, a backwards baseball cap, black and white sneakers, a striking diamond necklace with the letter “a” and, of course, the flared jeans that caused a stir on social media.

These pants, designed by Hedi Slimane for Celine, debuted at a Spring/Summer 2020 fashion show in 2019 and have a stunning price of $1,300, according to The New York Times.

Originally, Slimane designed the jeans as a tribute to the iconic French singer-songwriter Serge Gainsbourg. After Lamar's performance, the official Instagram account of Hedi Slimane highlighted how the rapper reaffirmed the enduring influence of the designer's creations.

Social media erupted with comments about the pants. “I think Kendrick Lamar’s jeans are the real MVP,” wrote a user on X. “I love the cut.” Another commented: “Whoever put Kendrick Lamar in those jeans deserves a raise. The way her thighs looked, OH LORD!” Other added: “Kendrick Lamar’s flared pants were kind of sexy, honestly.”

But the jeans weren't the only striking thing about the show. Serena Williams also turned heads when she did a crip walk while Lamar performed Not Like Us, his famous song allegedly dedicated to the tennis player's supposed ex.

“Let’s go Super Bowl halftime??! I died a little!” Serena wrote on X alongside a video of her surprise appearance. Later, in another clip, Williams referenced her iconic crip walk after winning the gold medal at the London 2012 Olympics.

“Man, I did not crip walk like that at Wimbledon,” he joked. “I would have been fiiiiine!”. Without a doubt, Lamar’s halftime show left a mark, and his flared jeans could mark the next big comeback in fashion in 2025.
