Apple cider vinegar

One of the highlighted Netflix premieres of the week is "Apple Cider Vinegar," the new original miniseries of the platform inspired by real events. This production is set in 2010 and follows the story of Belle Gibson, a young Australian woman who gained fame through social media by claiming to have overcome a brain tumor thanks to good nutrition and alternative therapies. Her story inspired thousands of people, but it all turned out to be a hoax.

The 6-episode fiction features performances by Kaitlyn Dever, Alycia Debnam-Carey, Tilda Cobham-Hervey, Aisha Dee, Mark Coles Smith, Ashley Zukerman, and Susie Porter.

Envious

Released in September 2024, Envidiosa became a phenomenon on the streaming platform. This week, its second season arrived on Netflix, and the new episodes continue with the story of Vicky, who now must choose between getting back together with Daniel and fulfilling her dream of getting married and starting a family, or following her feelings and starting a relationship with Matías. Above all, she must listen to her own heart and desires and discover what she truly wants for herself.

Somewhat embarrassed

For lovers of romantic comedies, Netflix has the perfect option to spend the afternoon. Directed by Tyler Spindel and with a duration of 97 minutes, "Father of the Year" is ideal for those looking to have a good time with laughs along the way.

The actress and comedian Amy Schumer plays Amy, a woman who dreams of having her own family. When she finds out that her best friend is pregnant, Amy decides to fake her own pregnancy and wears a fake belly. As she tries to sustain her lie, she meets a man who could be her ideal partner.

In addition to Schumer, the cast includes Jillian Bell, Brianne Howey, Will Forte, Lizze Broadway, Damon Wayans Jr., Urzila Carlson, and Chris Geere, among others.
