Crimes considered for deportations in the United States
Undocumented individuals who are being prioritized for deportations in the United States are those with criminal records including offenses such as murder, rape, robbery, aggravated assault, sexual assault, weapons or drug trafficking, kidnapping, suspected terrorism, as well as minor offenses like drug possession, domestic violence, traffic violations, vehicular manslaughter, driving under the influence, immigration fraud, among others.
No matter the severity of the crimes, if there are criminal records with any indication of breaking the law, you may be a candidate for deportation, says Diario AS USA.
The aforementioned media outlet explained that in the United States there are three categories of offenses: the first one involves immigrants with criminal convictions. The second one includes individuals with pending criminal charges who have not been convicted. The third category comprises people who violated immigration laws but do not have criminal records, such as those who stayed in the country after their visa expired or those with previous deportation orders.
