Mark McCormick, deputy chief of the Kenner Police, reported that it is believed the woman arrived with Manzano at the hotel at 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday and only stayed for a moment. The hotel staff found the Telemundo journalist dead about 12 hours later, as they had to check the room for his well-being due to reports that he had missed a morning appointment.

It is known that the woman went shopping after leaving the room. For now, it is unknown why she was with him.

Disturbing suspicion about the woman in the death of the Telemundo journalist

The suspicion of the woman's involvement in the death of the Telemundo journalist is reinforced because in addition to the videos showing her leaving his room, she has a history of drugging men and stealing their credit cards. After leaving the room, Colbert allegedly used the reporter's credit card at Big Easy stores.

The woman was accused of property crimes, including bank fraud and theft, but before that she was accused of drugging at least two men and using their credit cards, said the Kenner police.

In addition, the female has a record for coin theft, fraudulent use of debit cards, and other financial crimes.

The police report states that in 2022, Danette Colbert was accused of drugging one of her victims in Nevada. She has a history of stealing a man's credit card and phone in 2016. In 2002, she was also accused of drugging another individual and stealing $50,000 on the Las Vegas Strip.

The Post reports that Colbert pleaded guilty to fraud involving access devices and two counts of possession of stolen property in 2017. She was sentenced to three years in prison, according to court records.

For now, the cause of death of the Telemundo journalist is unknown. The only thing that is known is that he did not have any visible wounds. Toxicology tests will determine if there are any chemicals or drugs in his body.
