More than 75,000 people will fill the Superdome in New Orleans on Sunday, February 9 to watch the Super Bowl LIX, where the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs will determine the new NFL champion. But tens of thousands more will arrive in the beautiful city along the Mississippi, “The Big Easy”, just to experience the atmosphere of a week full of activities.

And the Super Bowl is much more than just a game. That's why we talk about the "Super Bowl Week", which officially starts this Sunday, February 2, with the arrival of the teams in the city and the Vince Lombardi Trophy.
Here is the schedule of the main events day by day.
Sunday, February 2nd
- 3 pm local: the charter planes carrying the Philadelphia Eagles, the champions of the National Conference, land at Louis Armstrong International Airport in New Orleans and will be the "home" team for the Super Bowl by rotation.
- 4 pm local: In the same airspace, the Kansas City Chiefs land, the champions of the American Conference and the team that seeks to be the first in NFL history to win the Super Bowl three times in a row.
- 5 pm local: The Vince Lombardi Trophy will be welcomed with a New Orleans-style parade starting at Jackson Square.
Monday, February 3rd
- 3 pm: the official press conference of the NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell.
- 5 pm: The ”Opening Night” at the Superdome, the Super Bowl Opening Night. Before, this event used to take place on Tuesday and was known as “Media Day”. Now, they sell tickets for $20 so fans can see the accredited press interview all the members of the participating teams. It's one hour per team and the big stars have a special spot. For fans, it's the opportunity to take photos, at least from a distance, of their idols.
Tuesday, February 4th
- 11 am: Attention for accredited press of the Kansas City Chiefs at the New Orleans Marriott on Canal Street.
- 12.40 pm: attention for accredited press of the Philadelphia Eagles at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside on Two Poydras Street.
Wednesday, February 5th
- All day: the city's restaurants will organize an "Oyster Night" to celebrate the "protein that built New Orleans".
- 8 am: Attention for accredited press of the Kansas City Chiefs at the New Orleans Marriott on Canal Street.
- 10.30 am: Attention for accredited press of the Philadelphia Eagles at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside on Two Poydras Street.
- 3 pm: Opening of the“Super Bowl Experience” at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, located in the city center. This theme park, specially designed for children, is a must-visit for all fans traveling to New Orleans. There are also options to take photos with a replica of the Vince Lombardi Trophy and get autographs from NFL legends. Entry costs $20 on Wednesday and Thursday and increases to $40 for Friday and Saturday. It is free for children under 12 years old. The opening hours every day are at 3 pm.
Thursday, February 6th
- 8 am: attention for accredited press of the Kansas City Chiefs at the New Orleans Marriot on Canal Street.
- 10 am: The press conference of the artists who will participate in the Super Bowl will take place at the Media Center, located at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. In the first part, the artists who will perform the different anthems before the game will participate: Jon Batiste (national anthem of the United States), Trombone Shorty and Lauren Daigle (America the Beautiful), and Ledisi (Lift Every Voice and Sing). Then, Kendrick Lamar, the singer of the Super Bowl Halftime Show, will hold a press conference.
- 10.30 am: Attention for accredited press of the Philadelphia Eagles at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside on Two Poydras Street.
- 5 pm: The "Red Carpet" at the Saenger Theatre (1111 Canal Street) begins, where legends and figures of the league will parade before the "NFL Honors" ceremony, where the main awards of the season are presented. The ceremony starts at 8 pm.
Friday, February 7th
- The famous French Market, in partnership with the Host Committee, will organize the Louisiana Cultural Festival to highlight the many cultures of Louisiana with unique booths and activations featuring local Native American tribes and a cultural corner with basket weaving, storytelling, and cooking and dance demonstrations. Jazz and zydeco bands will also contribute to the programming with live performances during the festival.
Saturday, February 8th
- 10 am: to highlight the magic of Mardi Gras, the first parade of the Super Bowl Host Committee will take place in the heart of the famous French Quarter. It will be free and open to the public. The parade will start at the corner of Esplanade Avenue and Decatur Street, will cross the French Quarter and go down Decatur until Poydras Street, concluding at St. Charles Avenue in the Warehouse District. Bleachers will be set up to watch this family event.
- 8 pm: A flag football game will be held at the Super Bowl Experience, in which artists and creators will participate.
Sunday, February 9th
- 3 pm: The "Tailgate Party", which will take place in the parking lot area of the Superdome, will feature Post Malone as the guest artist.
- 5 pm: The pre-game ceremony of Super Bowl LIX begins at the Superdome in New Orleans.
