The arrival of Donald Trump to the presidency of the United States has been the subject of intense controversies due to his policies of mass deportations that have affected numerous immigrants. At the center of this turmoil, his wife, Melania Trump, is also a topic of conversation for being considered one of the most sophisticated women of today.

The model born in Novo Mesto, Slovenia, comes from a family of modest means, which made her childhood simple. However, her passion for fashion is what allowed her to advance in the entertainment industry.

After completing his studies, he chose to start his career as a model in Europe, participating in various magazines and advertisements. However, his ambitions led him to take it a step further, so he made the decision to move to New York to continue his professional development.

Gradually, the name Melania Trump began to become more well-known in Manhattan, standing out alongside other celebrities such as Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.

One of his most notable works took place in 1997 for an advertising campaign for Camel Lights, where his photograph was used on a billboard in Times Square.

With provocative poses in a bikini and even naked, the current First Lady used to be one of the most talked-about women in the French men's magazine Max.

Melania traveled her way from being a modest woman in Slovenia to coming into contact with the elitist world of fashion in the United States.

Her life underwent its most notable change in 1998 when she met Donald Trump during New York Fashion Week.

That night, the businessman asked for her phone number, but she refused to give it and instead requested his so she could contact him when she deemed it appropriate. “I'm not going to give you my number, give me yours and I'll call you,” she reportedly replied.

Her refusal made her seem attractive to Donald, which eventually led to the beginning of their relationship. She considered her current husband's mood to be motivating.

"Our connection felt natural, as if our souls had known each other for a long time," he recounted.

The entrepreneur and the model got married on January 22, 2005 at the Bethesda-by-the-Sea Church in Palm Beach, Florida, and the following year, their son Barron was born.

Melania set aside seductive images to adopt a sophisticated ladylike image that serves as inspiration through her style, as she recently demonstrated at the Inauguration ceremony of Donald Trump as the 47th president of the United States.
