Gwyneth Paltrow has decided to say goodbye to one of her most iconic properties in Los Angeles. The actress and entrepreneur has sold her 8,000 square foot mansion in the exclusive Brentwood neighborhood, in Mandeville Canyon, for a total of 22 million dollars.

The sale was finalized less than a year after the property was put on the market in May 2024 for 29.99 million dollars, and subsequently, its price was reduced to 24.9 million in October of last year.

The house, which is one-story and was built in the 1950s, was renovated in 2009, offering a modern and elegant design.

With six bedrooms, a spacious kitchen with double countertops, a wood-fired oven, and high ceilings, the property also features a wide range of amenities, including a guest house, office, gym, wine cellar, cinema, and game room. All of this is surrounded by tall hedges and trees that offer an unparalleled level of privacy.

The property was acquired by Paltrow in 2012 for 9.95 million dollars, at that time with her ex-husband, Chris Martin, and she continued to live in it alongside the children they had together.

What was the reason for the sale?

According to Lea Porter, the real estate agent from Beverly Hills Estate who handled the sale, Paltrow decided to sell the house due to the growth of her children, Apple and Moses, who are now adults. The sale of the mansion coincided with Moses’ high school graduation. Additionally, the founder of Goop, who married producer Brad Falchuk in 2018, decided to downsize her home to better accommodate her new family dynamic. Falchuk and his children also moved into the property after their marriage.
