In a recent interview with the Brazilian show Domingão com Huck, Shakira shared the reasons behind this decision. The singer revealed that Mexico will be the place where she will prepare for the show, which she has described as "the biggest of her career". According to the performer, the magnitude of the event requires a level of production that could not be carried out in her hometown, Miami.
Last Tuesday, Shakira arrived at the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) in the country's capital, where she was welcomed by a group of fans and media. During the encounter, the artist couldn't hide her excitement at reuniting with her audience, especially with "all my pack," as she expressed it herself.
Why Mexico?
In her interview with Domingão com Huck, Shakira explained in detail the reasons for her move: "It's a show with a huge production, so big that we had to go on a stadium tour, and we couldn't find a suitable place here in Miami, where I live, for rehearsals. All the staff had to travel to Mexico to be able to do this there," said the singer, clearly excited about the challenges that this tour represents.
The decision to move to Mexico is due to the enormous scale of the production, which demands logistics and resources befitting the show. Mexico City will be the temporary headquarters where the singer will carry out rehearsals prior to her first concert in Rio de Janeiro. Although the exact locations have not been confirmed yet, it is speculated that the GNP Stadium, where Shakira has concerts scheduled in the country, could be one of the selected venues.
To carry out this titanic task, the Colombian singer will have a team of production experts who have worked with big international stars such as Taylor Swift and Beyoncé. The singer has made it clear that she is willing to work tirelessly to ensure that every aspect of her show is flawless: "I am working between 12 and 14 hours a day to perfect this performance," she confessed.
This temporary change of residence demonstrates Shakira's commitment to offer a unique show, which will not only make history in her career but also leave a lasting impression on her fans due to her effort and dedication.
