John Kennedy’s grandson questions Donald Trump’s motivation to release secret files

Jack Schlossberg, son of Caroline Kennedy, rejected the use of his grandfather's name for political purposes.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, ordered the release of secret files on the assassinations of the Kennedy brothers and Martin Luther King Jr., but this has not been well received by some relatives of the deceased political leaders. One of them is Jack Schlossberg, grandson of former President John F. Kennedy, who said that the Republican only wants to use his grandfather’s name as a “political accessory.”

With his order issued this Thursday, Trump instructed the Director of National Intelligence and the Attorney General to create a plan within 15 days to release the remaining records of John F. Kennedy.

"Everything will be revealed," said the president about the government files on the murders.

However, 32-year-old Schlossberg, son of former US ambassador Caroline Kennedy, expressed through his social media that "the truth is sadder than the myth, a tragedy that did not have to happen... It is not part of a great inevitable scheme... He is using the declassification about John F. Kennedy as a political accessory, when he is not here to counteract," Schlossberg pointed out, emphasizing that "there is nothing heroic about it."

John F. Kennedy and background

John F. Kennedy was the 35th president of the United States. He was shot and killed on November 22, 1963. Lee Harvey Oswald was pointed out as the assassin, and he died from a gunshot two days later.

Since then, there have been multiple theories about the assassination of President Kennedy. Some versions suggest that it was not Oswald, and the question of who killed him has persisted over time.

Officially, Oswald was identified as the responsible party, but there are those who say he was just used as a cover-up for what really happened. There are claims that suggest there is a discrepancy with the data presented by the authorities.

RTVE remembers that in the documentary 'JFK: Case Reopened' (2021), directed by Oliver Stone, it is asserted that President John Kennedy was assassinated by the CIA.
