The first images of former Vice President of the United States, Kamala Harris, are going viral on social media after the presidential inauguration of Donald Trump on January 20th. The Democrat was captured with her husband, lawyer Doug Emhoff, trying to return to their daily life as they shopped at the 99 Ranch Market Asian Grocery store in Westwood, California.

The New York Post published photos and videos of Harris shopping at the store this Thursday with her spouse. She was wearing black pants and a light blue shirt, with her hair tied back and a black cap, while he was wearing a gray shirt and khaki pants.

People were recording and taking pictures of them as they searched for products in the store aisles. The couple was attentive to those who recognized them and approached to greet them.

Among her purchases, 60-year-old Kamala Harris had rice and hot sauce. The media outlet noted that she was carrying the items in plastic bags, which contrasts with her 2019 presidential campaign proposal to ban plastic straws to protect the environment.

"We need to ban plastic," said the former California prosecutor to CNN in 2019. However, she left the store with her plastic bags, loaded with products.

What will Kamala Harris do now?

After her departure from the Vice Presidency, the big question now is What will Kamala Harris do after her defeat against Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential elections?

According to CBS, the former vice president will take some time to decide what to do next and it is believed that she will write a book about her experience as a presidential candidate. There are sources that claim she will run for Governor of California in 2016 and will wait to see if she runs again in the next presidential elections, but she has not commented on this.

The report states that her husband Emhoff will resume his career as a lawyer specializing in the entertainment industry, and that he could live between Los Angeles and New York. They say he is looking for an apartment in Manhattan. They both have a luxury home in Brentwood, Los Angeles, but the area is affected by fires.
