When accessing the Spanish version of the White House website WhiteHouse.gov/es, an 'error 404' message appears with an access button that invites you to go to the 'homepage' which leads to the website in its English version.

The X social media account in Spanish disappeared.

According to Statista, in the United States there is an average of 65 million Spanish-speaking residents (38 million are Mexican), so all of them are excluded with the removal of the Spanish versions of the US government portals.

Closure of the Spanish-language website of the White House in the context of Trump's executive orders

The closure of the Spanish versions of the White House website and social media accounts comes one day after President Trump signed executive orders against illegal immigration. One of these orders is to strengthen security at the southern border, something he says he is doing to defend the interests of the United States.

The new leader began his term by taking a tough stance against illegal immigrants, something he had promised during his campaign.

One of Trump’s executive orders eliminates US citizenship for the children of undocumented immigrants born in this country; he also eradicated the US Customs and Border Protection One application, through which migrants requested asylum in the United States, and through which the entry of approximately one million migrants was allowed.
