Puerto Rican urban artists Justin Rafael Quiles Rivera “Justin Quiles” and Emmanuel Gazmey Santiago “Anuel AA” participated in the pre-inauguration event of the President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, called “Victoria MAGA,” which took place at the Capital One Arena in Washington.
Trump, who will become the 47th president of the United States and will serve a second non-consecutive term, addressed thousands of his supporters on the eve of Inauguration Day.
"So, on the eve of reclaiming our country, that's what we are going to do," said Trump. "Reclaiming our country tomorrow at noon, the curtain will close on four long years of American decline and we will begin a new day of strength and prosperity, dignity and American pride. We will bring everything back once and for all," he added.
What did Anuel AA and Quiles say at Trump's event?
At President Trump's MAGA Victory Rally, singers Anuel and Quiles congratulated Trump on his electoral victory.
"First, I want to thank President Trump for having us here representing the entire Hispanic community. Many people turned against us when we spoke in support of Trump. I am very happy that they saw the results and many people ignored the attacks that Trump received, many people tried to damage his image and all that was in vain. I know that his term these four years will be amazing and that he [Trump] will do very good things for the Hispanic community. Especially, we are going to 'Make America Great Again'," said Anuel AA
On the other hand, Quiles Rivera expressed that "the Hispanic community did their job and showed a lot of love to our president Trump so that we could achieve that victory... What I like about Trump is that he is not a puppet."
"Congratulations President Trump," both artists said at the end of their speech before leaving the stage.
In August of last year, the two artists initially showed their support for Trump by endorsing the then Republican candidate at a political event in Pennsylvania.
At the end of the event, Trump announced that next Friday he will visit Los Angeles, a city hit by a series of fires, and invited the Village People to dance "YMCA" again.
