LeBron James expressed his concern because he has friends who have lost their homes in Palisades, Los Angeles.

“There have been many emotions... I have a couple of dear friends who have lost their homes in the Palisades. Obviously, my heart is with all the families, not only in the Palisades (Pacific), but throughout Los Angeles County and all surrounding areas due to the fire and things of that nature. There have been many emotions,” expressed the basketball player.

He indicated that personally, he and his family have been "out." "We have been evacuated since Thursday night, so I have been in a hotel almost since we returned from Dallas."

He explained that because he and his family are evacuated, they have only found out about what has happened in the last few hours through the news. He emphasized the importance of "staying strong" and encouraging each other. "That is the most important thing," he emphasized.

LeBron James and his history with evacuations

The aforementioned outlet noted that this is not the first time LeBron James has had to evacuate his home due to fires in Los Angeles. In 2019, he had to leave his residence due to fires near the Getty Center in the Brentwood neighborhood.

“We had that experience and were able to lean on it a bit... The difference between 2019 and today is that the one in 2019 was in the middle of the night, so we had to get going right away. We had a little more time before we had to evacuate, so we were able to get some things, gather some belongings or whatever the case may be, get some things that meant something to us,” the player recounted.
