Fires in Los Angeles postpone premiere of Meghan Markle's series

The production "With Love, Meghan" was scheduled to premiere this Wednesday, but the streaming service announced on Sunday that it supports the Duchess's request.

The highly anticipated series by Meghan Markle on Netflix has had to postpone its premiere amidst the tragedy that is shaking Los Angeles due to the wildfires that have devastated the area. Markle herself has had to help and provide shelter to her friends who have been affected.

The production "With Love, Meghan" was scheduled to premiere this Wednesday, but the streaming service announced on Sunday that it supports the Duchess of Sussex’s request to postpone the date in order to focus on helping those affected by the fires.

Meghan, who was born and raised in Los Angeles and now lives in Montecito, California, with her husband, Prince Harry, and their two children, Archie and Lilibet, has dived headfirst into providing assistance during the situation. Last Saturday, the royal couple visited Pasadena to distribute food and water to the victims of the fires and thank emergency responders.

When will Meghan Markle’s Netflix series premiere now?

The documentary/reality show will now premiere on March 4th. “With Love, Meghan” is a lifestyle show in which the duchess chats with famous friends and engages in activities like floral arrangements and baking. “I’ve always loved taking something fairly ordinary and elevating it,” Meghan says in the trailer.

The fires in Los Angeles have left the entertainment industry and its members deeply affected and distressed, with several celebrities suffering damage and destruction to their homes and many having to evacuate as their lives were at risk.

Faced with the tragedy, the Screen Actors Guild joined the company Walt Disney, the Grammys, and other entertainment entities that have pledged millions of dollars in aid for those affected by the fires.

The SAG pledged to donate 1 million dollars to its members affected by the fires. While much attention has been given to the celebrities who have lost their homes, many lesser-known industry workers have also lost their homes or have been displaced by the fires.
