Ben Affleck was photographed on Wednesday returning to his $20 million luxury mansion in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles, after having evacuated due to the raging fire that hit the area. The Air actor was able to visit his property after receiving news that it was still standing, despite the destruction that swept through much of the community.

"Ben still can't stay at his house due to evacuation orders, but he is deeply grateful that his property is safe, at least for now," a source told Page Six. "He knows many people who have lost everything. He has seen the devastation up close, and it is more than tragic. Ben is looking for ways to help those in need."

Ben Affleck had taken refuge at his ex-wife Jennifer Garner's house
On Wednesday, Affleck was seen in his black car entering the access code to his residence. He was wearing a beige suit and a white shirt, maintaining a serious expression as he observed the damages surrounding his neighborhood. The 52-year-old director of Argo had previously evacuated and took refuge in his ex-wife Jennifer Garner's house in Brentwood, while monitoring the situation.
Affleck's mansion, which he acquired just five months ago in July 2024 after his separation from Jennifer Lopez, seems to be one of the few properties that survived the fire in Pacific Palisades. This natural disaster, fueled by strong winds, consumed over 15,000 acres since it started on Tuesday morning.
The impact of the fires has not only affected Affleck, but also other celebrities. Billy Crystal, Eugene Levy, Anna Faris, and John Goodman are among those affected whose homes were destroyed. Leighton Meester and Adam Brody evacuated with their children, but their home was also reduced to ashes.
Paris Hilton shared on Instagram that her vacation home in Malibu was devastated, while Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag tearfully expressed that their residence was one of the first to succumb. Amidst this tragedy, Affleck continues to be thankful that his home is still standing and has committed to supporting the victims.
