New autopsy data rules out “third party involvement” in Liam Payne’s death

The forensic experts ruled out that the injuries suffered by the singer were caused by third parties.

New information continues to emerge about the death of singer Liam Payne. The artist died on October 16, 2024, after falling from the third floor of the Hotel Casa Sur Palermo in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he was staying. Although part of the autopsy findings had already been revealed, there are new aspects that are now being disclosed.

It was already known that the forensic report stated that the cause of death was polytrauma, that is, multiple fractures in the body. These injuries caused internal bleeding that ended his life.

Researchers determined that Liam Payne suffered the fractures at the same time and from the same impact, something typical in tragic deaths like traffic accidents or falls. They also pointed out that he did not try to defend himself during the fall, he did not make any movement to cushion the blow, indicating that he was unconscious when he fell from a height of 40 feet.

"The 25 injuries described in the autopsy are consistent with those caused by a fall from a height... He did not assume a defensive posture to protect himself, so it can be inferred at this time that he may have fallen in a state of semi or total unconsciousness," the report states, as recalled by the British portal The Mirror."

Liam Payne and more forensic data

The mentioned media outlet reported that it is now known that the type of injuries suffered by Liam Payne, while unconscious, led to the conclusion that "the involvement of third parties would be ruled out" in his death.

Even though they ruled out the involvement of third parties, the case cannot be treated as a suicide either, since the singer’s state of unconsciousness due to the effect of alcohol, drugs, and prescribed medications could not have allowed him to be reflecting at the moment of falling: “I didn’t know what I was doing and couldn’t understand it.”
