Like a lady: Millie Bobby Brown responded to criticism about her appearance

The actress faced criticism after posting her most recent picture of 2024, where people pointed out that she appeared to be older.

Fans of the successful series “Stranger Things” have observed the growth and evolution of actress Millie Bobby Brown. At the age of 11, she became famous for her portrayal of “Eleven,” which propelled her career to new heights, although she had already been part of other renowned series such as “Once Upon a Time in Wonderland,” “NCIS,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” and “Modern Family.”

Since that moment, everyone has observed her evolution from a girl to a talented and extraordinary young woman. However, not all internet users seem to like this change, as they do not refrain from sharing passive-aggressive comments on any post that the actress, now 20 years old, publishes.

To bid farewell to 2024, the artist posted a selfie on her Instagram profile with the message "Me and my mini," referring to the small Louis Vuitton bag. Criticisms quickly emerged and, as expected, she responded.

"I with the same age looking like a little kid 😭😭😭😭😭", "But, how old was she?", "Plastic surgery?", "She's getting a face lift", "How to look 65 when you're 16", "Girl, you look 50, but still stunning 💜", "She skipped 20 and went straight to 40", "Literally, it's just her facial expression that makes you think she looks older," they commented.

He couldn't stand it and put everyone in their place.

Millie has always been known for being a balanced person, but she has also highlighted the challenges she has faced in the world of film and television, ranging from harassment and sexualization to harmful criticism that undermines her self-confidence.

During her adolescence, she recalled the moment when she was labeled with terms like "idiot," "stupid," and "spoiled." The burden of being the object of criticism and evaluations at such a young age could have significantly influenced her personal and professional growth. Brown pointed out that, as children, it was common for them to comment on each other, however, she was penalized for participating in it. This experience led her to withdraw and behave more cautiously during interviews.

On December 31st, she reached her limit and decided to use her Instagram stories to address those who criticized her appearance. In her post, she wrote: "Women grow! I don't regret it", but then deleted the message. However, by then it was already too late because quite a few people had seen it.

She also has a great support from her husband Jacob Hurley Bongiovi, son of the famous musician Jon Bon Jovi, as well as from several internet users who defended her by saying: "Wow! you are very pretty, you look great ❤️", "She is not a child anymore. You still expect her to look like baby Eleven. She is not", "why is everyone hating? Millie is beautiful, I don't know why people are making comments about her" and "Oh my god guys, can you let a girl breathe?".
