For many, the month of December is a time for giving. And just to start the year with the best motivation, actress Kristen Bell decided to donate over 100 thousand dollars to help people in need pay off their medical debts.

The 44-year-old interpreter joined social media personality Tommy Marcus, better known as Quentin Quarantino, to donate thousands of dollars to people struggling to pay their medical bills. In screenshots of direct messages shared by Marcus on Instagram, the influencer showed his communication with Bell to help him raise funds for a GoFundMe page related to health.

How did Kristen Bell help people with their medical debts?

Bell agreed with the idea and later completed the fundraising goal of a GoFundMe page. "We need to do more things like this, the world needs it 💕," she wrote in a direct message.

In another message, Bell asked: "How can I give $100,000 to people in need for medical bills? I want to make sure we do it in the best way, how do we do it?"

Marcus suggested that for every fundraising campaign he posts on his page, Bell can "close it" once it reaches half of its goal. "For example, the next one needs around $50k raised, so once it reaches $25k from followers, you donate $25k and we move on to the next one," he asked, to which Bell enthusiastically replied, "Yes! Tommy, let's do it!"

According to a GoFundMe page shared on Marcus' profile, Bell donated $20,932 to help a third-grade girl named Mia fight leukemia, helping the fundraising exceed its goal of $50,000. Bell also helped another page reach its fundraising goal, by donating $24,182 to a man named Murilo who is also battling leukemia.

Thanks to Bell’s help, Marcus said that the most recent fundraising campaign on their page “has the opportunity to be one of the most important and impactful projects we have done.”
