How did the Heat turn the game around in Houston?
Houston was ahead 92-85 after a layup by Fred VanVleet with 8:10 to play, but the Rockets missed their next 11 shots, allowing Miami to tie the game when Herro found Haywood Highsmith for a three-pointer with 4:47 on the game clock.
A jumper by Herro with 1:56 left to play put the Heat definitively ahead.
Playing the second night of consecutive games and without Jimmy Butler for the fifth consecutive game, Nikola Jovic finished with 18 points, seven rebounds, and six assists for the Heat. Highsmith added 15 points.
What sanctions could the players involved in the altercation receive?
The details are still unknown, but they could face several game suspensions, as well as financial penalties.
A few days ago there was a similar fight in a game between Dallas and Phoenix, which ended with four games for Naji Marshall of the Mavericks and three for Jusuf Nurkic of the Suns.
In this case, Amen Thompson from the Rockets could receive an even greater suspension given the violence with which he threw Herro to the ground.
In their upcoming games, the Rockets will host Dallas on Wednesday and the Heat will host New Orleans on the same day.
