Michael Schumacher is celebrating as his family is growing. The seven-time Formula 1 champion is going to become a grandfather at the age of 55, as announced by his own daughter, Gina, through her social media.
The eldest daughter of the legendary former pilot announced that she is expecting a girl with her husband, Iain Bethke. The future mom shared the happy news along with some photos in which a beautiful foal appears, surrounded by pink balloons and some of the gifts that her future daughter has already received, such as cowboy-style boots and a denim jacket.
Michael Schumacher's daughter shared the news on her social media.
The publication clearly alludes to the fact that both Gina and her husband Ian are professional riders, hence the phrase accompanying the good news. "My new rider will arrive in April 2025," says Gina, who is very excited about her upcoming birth: "Looking forward to the arrival of our little girl."
Gina Schumacher married Iain Bethke in September at their family villa in Mallorca, Villa Yasmin, in Port d'Andratx, owned by the Schumacher family since 2018 and previously belonging to Real Madrid president, Florentino Pérez. The event was extremely intimate, with guests asked to surrender their phones, and there were rumors that the former race car driver was in attendance, marking his first public appearance since the skiing accident that kept him away from public life for the past 11 years.
Let’s remember that it was on December 29, 2013 when the life of the seven-time Formula 1 champion changed forever after suffering a serious fall while skiing in the French Alps. His head hit a rock, causing a severe brain injury that kept him hospitalized for nine months, six of which were spent in a coma.
