Alec Baldwin stated that the truth about the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, who died in October 2021, has not yet come out. Witnesses claim that he pointed a prop gun at her during the filming of the movie ‘Rust’.

The actor defended himself, claiming he didn't know the gun had real bullets. He was accused of involuntary manslaughter, but the charges were dismissed last July due to lack of evidence against him. The armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, who was responsible for loading the gun, was sentenced to 18 months in prison, and the assistant director, David Halls, was convicted of a lesser offense.

The Hollywood Reporter recently published that Alec Baldwin said on the 'Fail Better' podcast that he still did not know the whole truth, as much of the information had been leaked by the media, but he assured that it will be revealed in the upcoming legal processes.

"The truth of what happened has never been told, never. We have more shit that is going to come to light in the upcoming legal processes and so on," stated the actor.

He indicated that the tabloid press amplified "every story that could hurt him" that incriminated or hurt him, and "suppressed" anything that benefited him.

"In this country, when people hate you to that extent, they want three things, among them, they want you to die," he emphasized before adding that "there is more to come, but what will come now is my effort, and it will undeniably be a successful effort, to raise and expose what really happened."

Alec Baldwin and the support of his wife

During the interview on 'Fail Better', Alec Baldwin highlighted the support he received from his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, throughout the legal process.

“I owe everything to my wife.... She is the most spiritually elevated human being I have ever known, and she was kind to me and supported me. You are a man, you fall in love with someone and think ‘What can I do to keep my wife safe’? and I couldn't do anything to stop what was happening,” Baldwin stated.

Alec Baldwin, 66, has been married to 40-year-old Hilaria since 2012, with whom he has seven children, the oldest of whom is 11-year-old Carmen.
