In a recent interview with Keke Palmer on the podcast “Baby, This is Keke Palmer”, Lizzo addressed for the first time the allegations of sexual harassment and hostile work environment she faces following a lawsuit filed last summer. The singer, known for hits like “About Damn Time”, expressed her surprise and pain at the allegations, which she described as “ridiculous.”

Lizzo explained that she needed time to process the situation before speaking publicly. "2023 was an incredible year for me," she pointed out. "We won the Grammy for Record of the Year, I was on my first stadium tour, and I brought my wonderful Big Grrrl dancers to the stage every night. I was living my dream." However, after the tour ended, three former dancers filed a lawsuit against her, which abruptly changed the course of her year.

Lizzo came out to defend herself from the accusations
The lawsuit, filed by Arianna Davis, Crystal Williams, and Noelle Rodriguez, includes allegations of sexual harassment, racial discrimination, and a toxic work environment. Among the most prominent accusations, it is mentioned that Lizzo allegedly forced the dancers to touch naked performers in a nightclub and to eat fruits in sexually explicit situations.
During the interview, Lizzo strongly denied the accusations. "I was completely surprised. These were people to whom I gave opportunities and respected as dancers," she commented. She also dismissed the allegations of sexual harassment as "silly" and "ridiculous", emphasizing that the nightclub outings were never mandatory. Despite the seriousness of the accusations, Lizzo maintains her innocence. "I want to make something clear: I did nothing wrong. I have no regrets, but this experience has prepared me to be the boss that I am meant to be," she stated.
While one of the lawsuits against her has been dismissed, Lizzo continues to face the main case involving Davis, Williams, and Rodriguez, which appears to be heading to trial. A representative close to the singer stated that Lizzo has no intention of reaching a settlement, as she believes the accusations are "false" and is determined to prove her innocence.
"There is a reason why Lizzo keeps fighting, even when others would have given up," the source commented. "She is not going to stop until these accusations are completely dismissed." The case is still ongoing, and Lizzo continues to defend her integrity as she faces one of the biggest challenges of her career.
