Royal expert believed that Princess Kate deserved the Time award as Person of the Year

According to Time, it would be awarded to the person who has had the greatest impact during the year, whether it be good or bad.

An expert on royalty stated a few days ago that the only ideal person to win the title of Person of the Year 2024 awarded by Time magazine would have been Princess Kate, but it was revealed this Thursday that it is Donald Trump, who in one way or another had a greater impact this year.

Donald Trump,, 78 years old, was elected as the new president of the United States in November and will assume office in January. This is not the first time he has received this award, as in 2016 he was named Time magazine's Person of the Year.

What does Time magazine say about Kate?

According to Time, Kate, who recently was in London for her fourth carol service Together At Christmas, had "sparked a conversation about the privacy and health of public figures."

Time awards this title to the person who has had the greatest impact, either good or bad, in the world during the previous year. However, the Princess of Wales remained absent for most of 2024 as she was undergoing treatment to overcome cancer.

Kate recently returned to public service, after making her first official appearance of 2024 at the Trooping the Colour event in June.

The reasons why Kate may have won the title from Time.

The royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams wrote, before Time's announcement, that Kate would deserve the award for her "charm, poise, and wonderful talent for fashion, the ideal consort for our future king."

The 42-year-old princess spent Christmas last year with her children and underwent abdominal surgery weeks later. Despite the successful operation, it was confirmed that she had cancer.

During her surprise appearance in June at Trooping the Colour alongside Prince William and their children, Kate was still receiving treatment.
