The Pandora’s box that was opened with the case of alleged multiple sexual crimes and human trafficking by Sean “Diddy” Combs has officially splashed onto his former collaborators. Jay-Z has been sued by a woman who claims to have been sexually assaulted by the rapper alongside Combs at a party in 2000 when she was 13 years old.

Initially, the lawsuit was filed against Combs in October, but this Sunday the woman added Shawn Carter, known worldwide as Jay-Z, as a defendant in the civil lawsuit. In statements to CNN, Carter denied having committed such a crime.

What did Jay-Z say about the rape allegations alongside P. Diddy?
Speaking to the aforementioned media outlet, Carter described the accusations as "so heinous that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one. Whoever commits such a crime against a minor should be imprisoned, don't you think?"
The woman who accuses him, as well as Combs, was identified as Jane Doe and alleges that she was 13 years old when Combs and Carter allegedly assaulted her at a party following the Video Music Awards in 2000. The woman said she started feeling dizzy after consuming a drink at the party and went to a nearby bedroom. According to the woman, Carter raped her first, followed by Combs, whom she said she hit before running out of the party, as detailed in the lawsuit.
According to the complaint, Doe's lawyers contacted Carter to request "mediation to resolve this matter": "According to current information and belief, Jay-Z responded to said letter not only by filing a completely frivolous lawsuit, but also by orchestrating a conspiracy of harassment, bullying, and intimidation against the plaintiff's lawyers, their families, employees, and former associates in an attempt to silence the plaintiff from mentioning Jay-Z in this document. This effort was aimed at scaring the plaintiff and discrediting her lawyer. That effort failed. In fact, the plaintiff decided to file this amendment as a result of the atrocious conduct perpetrated by Carter," the complaint says.
In his response sent to CNN this Sunday - addressed to Doe's lawyer - Carter described the request for mediation as an "attempt at blackmail." Carter also said that this lawyer, "whom I have researched a bit, seems to have a pattern of this kind of theatrics."
Carter added in his statement that his "only regret" is for his family: "My wife and I will have to talk to our children, one of whom is at an age where his friends will likely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these allegations, and explain to him the cruelty and greed of people. I regret another loss of innocence. Children shouldn't have to endure something like this at a young age.".
