During the year 2024, Netflix has been secretly working on a new culinary competition series, Next Gen Chef. The series, produced by LeBron James, is expected to arrive on our screens in 2025.

A casting page for the show was launched in April 2024 and is still active. The project features collaborations with renowned figures such as the creators of "Top Chef", LeBron James, and directors from "Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown", along with The Culinary Institute of America.

The production of "Next Gen Chef" started in June of this year and concluded in August, filming at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America facilities in Hyde Park, New York.
The series is a co-production of Alfred Street Industries, known for producing "Is It Cake?" for Netflix. The SpringHill Company, founded by LeBron James, has previously collaborated with Netflix on projects such as "Rez Ball" and "Hustle", as well as Artifactual Media, a subsidiary of UltraBoom Media.

"Next Gen Chef" joins the list of cooking series on Netflix, which includes hits like "Cook at All Costs", "The Final Table: A Global Cooking Competition", "Pressure Cooker", "Culinary Class Wars", and "The Big Family Cooking Showdown".
The platform also hosts several baking competition series, such as "The Great British Baking Show," "Baking Impossible," and "Nailed It." This year it launched "The Blue Ribbon Baking Championship."
The platform has been kept reserved by not providing details. Once the program is officially introduced, they will be updated.
