Why did Prince Andrew not receive the inheritance of Queen Elizabeth II?

The book Charles III: New King, New Court, The Inside Story revealed a series of situations surrounding the death of the queen.

The new book by acclaimed royal biographer Robert Hardman revealed the financial situation of Prince Andrew. In it, certain topics related to King Charles and his entire family are explored.

Hardman writes in Charles III: New King, New Court, The Inside Story that Andrés was stripped of his title and, therefore, of any taxpayer funding.

Book makes strong revelations about the British royalty.

The excerpts from the book provided to MailOnline reveal that King Charles offered to move him from his home at Royal Lodge to Frogmore Cottage, the former residence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, in order to save money on security.

The fact is that Andrew would be downsizing from a 30-room house to a five-bedroom one. According to Hardman, the king would stop paying Andrew's alimony if he rejected the offer to move; Andrew had assured the Palace that he could cover all these bills through a combination of money left to him by the queen and his own business activities.

"If he can find the money, then it's up to him, but if not, he will discover that the king does not have unlimited patience."

Inheritance of King Charles and assignment to Andrew

After the death of Queen Elizabeth in 2022, King Charles inherited a £650 million estate, while Princess Anne and Prince Edward continue to receive funds from the Sovereign Grant as active members of the royal family today.

But Prince Andrew expected the king to give him the allowance that, according to the book, amounted to one million pounds annually, in addition to the inheritance he received from Queen Elizabeth before she passed away.

Hardman wrote: “While the Duke may be able to find the money to cover the bills for one or two years, the position may not be sustainable once he reaches retirement age.”
