At the beginning of last year, the Saudi Arabian government announced the construction of a massive cube called Mukaab, measuring 400 meters in height and width.

A construction project has been started that aims to become the greatest architectural wonder of our millennium. As reported by the press of Saudi Arabia, the construction of the enormous cube called Mukaab, which aims to be the “largest building in the world,” has already begun.

At the beginning of last year, the Saudi Arabian Government announced the construction of a huge cube called Mukaab, which will be 400 meters high and just as long. It will be a megastructure that will be the world's first immersive and experiential building.

How will the Mukaab, the largest building in the world, be like?

The Mukaab will be located in Riyadh, the Saudi capital, and will be able to accommodate 20 times the Empire State Building inside and promises to be the largest infrastructure in the world, taking into account not only its length but also its width. With a budget of 50 billion dollars, this building is a centerpiece of the New Murabba project, part of the Vision 2030 plan, which aims to reduce dependence on oil and diversify the Saudi economy, positioning the country as a global hub for tourism and commerce.

According to the New Atlas newspaper, the exterior of the building is inspired by traditional Islamic architecture, while the interior will have a surface area of two million square meters. Additionally, there will be a "large twisted tower" in the center.

On the other hand, Mukaab will have certain holographic systems that will be used to represent immersive experiences in 4D and, also, a 19 square kilometer area will be integrated where thousands of people will reside, considering that it will house more than 100,000 residential units, 890,000 square meters of commercial spaces, 1.8 million square meters of community use, and 620,000 square meters of leisure spaces.

Mukaab is expected to complete its works by 2030 and would contribute a benefit of 180,000 million Saudi riyals in addition to creating 334,000 direct jobs.
