To activate it, you must use a launcher, an application that allows you to modify the main screen of your Android device. The recommended tool is Nova Launcher, a free app available on the Google Play Store that will allow you to change the appearance of your phone, including the home screens, icons, and wallpapers.
It is important to note that Nova Launcher was not developed by Meta nor is it directly linked to WhatsApp, so any issues that occur will not be addressed by the official support of the messaging platform.
3 steps to activate Halloween Mode
- Download Nova Launcher from the Play Store and set the launcher as the default desktop on your phone.
- Customize the WhatsApp logo by searching on Google images of Halloween, such as personalized WhatsApp logos with pumpkins or ghosts. To find the best options, use keywords like "WhatsApp Halloween logo" or "WhatsApp Halloween night".
- Change the WhatsApp icon, saving the chosen image to your device as a PNG file. Then, from Nova Launcher, press and hold the WhatsApp icon, select the Edit option, and choose the Halloween image you downloaded.
Although Nova Launcher is a useful and secure tool, it is important to remember that any changes or customizations made through third-party apps can have risks, such as compatibility issues or device performance. When you no longer want the Halloween Mode, you can deactivate the launcher and return to the original settings of your phone without major complications.
