The death of Liam Payne continues to be a topic of conversation, especially now that the four members of One Direction have published their respective statements, in which they expressed all the love they had for the singer.
It is worth noting that the English boyband split up almost 10 years ago, and since then their fans had been asking for a reunion, which will no longer be possible due to Liam's absence. Liam passed away on October 16 in Palermo, Argentina.
The statement from One Direction on the death of Liam Payne
The official Instagram account of the group was reactivated to share a joint statement, signed by Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson.
"Over time, and when we all can, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to mourn and process the loss of our brother, whom we loved very much. The memories we shared with him will be a treasure forever. Meanwhile, our thoughts are with his family, friends, and fans who loved him alongside us. We miss him greatly. We love you, Liam," the post stated.
After said message, each of the artists expressed themselves separately, on their respective official accounts.
Harry Styles
The singer posted an image of Liam, along with the following message: "I am truly devastated by Liam's passing. His greatest joy was making other people happy, and it was an honor to be by his side as he did so. Liam lived life to the fullest, with his heart on his sleeve, he had an infectious zest for life. He was warm, supportive, and incredibly loving. The years we spent together will forever remain among the most cherished years of my life. I will always miss him, my lovely friend."
Zayn Malik
Through his social media, the singer expressed: "I lost a brother when you left us and I can't explain to you how much I would give to give you one last hug, say goodbye to you properly, and tell you how much I loved and respected you. I will treasure all the memories I have with you in my heart, forever."
Niall Horan
The artist was the last band member to see Liam alive, so his message was one of the most anticipated by fans.
"I am absolutely devastated by the passing of my amazing friend, Liam. It just doesn't seem real... I feel so lucky to have seen him recently. Sadly, I didn't know that after saying goodbye and hugging him that night, I would be saying goodbye to him forever."
Louis Tomlinson
The artist shared one of the most emotional messages, as he assured that he would be an uncle to Liam's son.
"I want you to know that if Bear ever needs me, I will be the uncle he needs in his life and I will tell him stories of how amazing his father was," he expressed.
