NEW YORK (AP) — Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, the most famous couple in the United States, took advantage of the fact that The Eras Tour has not yet resumed its concerts and that the Kansas City Chiefs did not play last weekend in the NFL to spend a romantic weekend in New York, culminating with a visit to Yankee Stadium for the first game of the American League Championship Series.

Swift and Kelce were in one of the suites in right field, in the second row above the postseason pennant, and witnessed the New York Yankees' 5-2 victory over the Cleveland Guardians.

This past weekend, the famous couple celebrated the first anniversary of their highly publicized relationship. On Friday, they went out with actors Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, and on Saturday they went to dinner at Torrisi restaurant in Nolita, the famous New York neighborhood linked to Italian immigration.

Kelce, originally from Westlake, Ohio and who attended high school in Cleveland Heights, wore a black cap with the phrase Midnight Rodeo. Swift, on the other hand, also wore a cap on a warm night in the Bronx. The Chiefs' offensive tackle, who turned 35 on October 5, grew up as a fan of Kenny Lofton and the Cleveland team in the nineties. In fact, last year he threw the ceremonial first pitch at the Guardians' season opener.

This is the second major sporting event that Swift and Kelce have attended in New York City in the last five weeks. The couple was also in one of the boxes during the men's final of the US Open on September 8th in Queens, accompanied by their friends Patrick and Britanny Mahomes.

Kelce and the Chiefs, two-time defending Super Bowl champions, had a bye week after starting the season 5-0. Their next game is on Sunday against San Francisco, a rematch of the last Super Bowl.
