Since former President Donald Trump suffered a second assassination attempt on September 15, he has not played golf again nor has he been near any of his golf courses, and he would not do so until after the elections. This was reported by a close person from his campaign.

He will no longer play golf for his safety.

Three close sources, one of them from his electoral campaign, reported that he will not play golf until after the November elections. The third source indicated that the security agents guarding him told Trump that they could not guarantee his well-being while he played.

Trump expressed these concerns in two conversations: one with Ronald Rowe, the acting director of the Secret Service, and the other with officials from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence.

It is not safe for Trump to continue playing golf

The sources said that "Trump had asked Rowe during a meeting last month if it would be safe for him to continue playing golf after the failed assassination attempt, and he was told that he would need significant additional security given the proximity of some of his courses to public roads," reported The New York Times.

Giving up golf for Trump is a life change, as the magnate owns 18 golf properties around the world, including courses in Oman and Dubai. As president, he played around 260 days on his properties.

If the former president waits until after the elections to play golf, it would be the longest period of time without being able to do his favorite hobby.

Trump's last appearance at a golf course

"Trump has generally played golf at least once a week since leaving the White House, but his love for the greens exposed him to danger during his last outing at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, on September 15th," reports NBC News on its website."

At that moment, the Department of Justice said that a Secret Service agent saw “the partially hidden face of a man” among “the bushes along the fence near the sixth hole,” apparently waiting for Trump to arrive at the hole.
